Shipping a firearm can be confusing and knowing all aspects of the law is difficult. Some carriers may take rifles but not pistols from non-FFL holders, while other carriers may not take firearms at all unless you have an FFL license. Some states have strict laws about recieving guns, and at all times you must ship to a FFL license if shipping across state lines. Homestead Firearms offers assistance with shipping. The base price is $25 for the transfer. You are responsible for arranging an FFL licensee to receive the gun and any charges incurred from them.

After you have completed signing up for shipping and completed the form called FFL Services, bring us the gun so that we can inspect it, do the final sealing of the box and ship it . If you would like to box the gun up ready for shipping you can save this cost, but leave the box open so that we can inspect and then seal it before shipping. Shipping costs vary according to the type and weight of gun. Extra charges may be incurred if you want special coverage or shipping features. Parcel post generally takes 10 to 15 days average. Priority takes 3 to 4 days. Pistols are always shipped priority, and we only ship via the post office unless other arrangements are made. Insurance varies by the amount.
